Please read before purchasing our peony subscription. By purchasing a peony subscription from These Roots Peony Farm, either for yourself or as a gift, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

Peony bouquet subscription info:

3 weeks of gorgeous peony bouquets.  One bouquet of 5 stems per week for three weeks, wrapped in brown Kraft paper.

You choose farm pick up or delivery (within 15 miles of the farm).

Start Dates:

Start date: TBD by Mother Nature, but usually May (we will keep you posted!) These Roots Peony Farm will communicate via email to inform subscribers of updates and the official start date. We reserve the right to change the pickup dates at any time due to inclement weather or unfavorable growing conditions that affect bloom timing. I understand that it is my responsibility to contact These Roots Peony Farm if I am not receiving notifications near the projected subscription start date.

Bouquet Pick Up:

Pick up is at the farmstand. Pickup window times will be communicated in the reminder email you will receive before your subscription is set to begin. Please keep an eye on your inbox for updates! Be sure to add theserootspeonyfarm@gmail.com to your email contact list, so our emails don't end up in your junk/spam folder.

I understand that it is my responsibility to pick up my bouquet at the farmstand on the designated day during the designated time frame. If I am out of town or unable to pick up my bouquet for any reason, I understand that it is my responsibility to find a substitute to collect my bouquet (friends love being gifted flowers!).  I understand that if my bouquet is not picked up on the designated day, within the designated time, I forfeit that bouquet and that it will be donated at the discretion of These Roots Peony Farm. I will not receive credit or a refund for any bouquet that I do not pick up. Note there are no allowable changes to the pickup schedule of this subscription due to the short length of three weeks.

Bouquet Delivery:

Delivery is available within 15 miles of the farm. Delivery days and time frames will be communicated in the reminder email you will receive before your subscription begins. Please keep an eye on your inbox for updates, and be sure to add theserootspeonyfarm@gmail.com to your email contact list so our emails don’t end up in your junk/spam folder.

I understand that it is my responsibility to provide a correct delivery address and ensure someone is available to receive the bouquet during the designated delivery window. If no one is available, the bouquet will be left at the provided address in a safe location (or location chosen by you in advance) at the discretion of These Roots Peony Farm. If you live in a gated community or an area requiring special instructions, please be sure to provide those details when signing up to avoid missed deliveries. Once delivered, These Roots Peony Farm is not responsible for loss, theft, or weather-related damage. If I am out of town or unable to receive my bouquet for any reason, I understand that it is my responsibility to arrange for someone else to accept it on my behalf, either at the farm or at my delivery address. Customers may also choose to pick up at the farm instead of delivery at any point during their subscription, but must notify These Roots Peony Farm in advance so arrangements can be made. I will not receive credit or a refund for any bouquet that is undeliverable or left unattended. Please note there are no allowable changes to the delivery schedule of this subscription due to the short length of three weeks.

Cut Peony Care:

I understand that peonies are a perishable product, with a variable vase life of 3-6+ days. I understand that all peonies are harvested in peak condition, and that varieties have a different vase life, dependent on care. These Roots Peony Farm will not be held responsible for poor vase life or flower quality due to improper care once I receive my peonies.


Flower care recommendations are as follows:

  • A packet of flower food is provided with each bouquet. For the longest vase life, change vase water daily, and using a small amount of the provided flower food with each water change.

  • Recut stems every other water change.

  • Protect flowers from extreme heat and direct sunlight.

Communication:

These Roots Peony Farm will communicate via email to inform subscribers of updates and changes to the subscription.  Please add theserootspeonyfarm@gmail.com to your email contacts. Please double check that your email is entered correctly for reminders to be sent. Please check your promotions and junk mail folders, in case our email goes there. We will also post reminders on Facebook @ These Roots Peony Farm and Instagram @theserootspeonyfarm, please follow us. 

These Roots Peony Farm is not responsible for miscommunications due to their e-mails going to my Spam folder or Promotions tab. I will notify the farm immediately if I do not receive an e-mail receipt of my payment or my subscription emails. I will not hold These Roots Peony Farm responsible for missed pick-ups due to missed email communications or for any reason whatsoever.

Payment:

I understand that by signing up for The Peony Club (by purchasing a subscription online) I have secured my place in the subscription for the respective growing season. There are no refunds, either full or partial, for cancellation of my subscription once purchased. Subscription holders may choose to transfer their subscription to another person if needed. Please make sure to contact These Roots Peony Farm at theserootspeonyfarm@gmail.com if you need to transfer your subscription to another person.

 Sharing the Risk:

I agree that by purchasing a subscription I understand that I share in the risks of flower farming. I understand that the risks include poor harvests due to unfavorable weather or pests, or the total loss of all crops due to a natural disaster such as fire, flood, or drought.  In the extremely unlikely circumstance where bouquets cannot be provided due to unfavorable weather conditions, natural disasters, extreme pest pressure, drought, floods, or loss of crops, partial refunds of subscriptions would be arranged accordingly. (That being said, These Roots Peony Farm does all that we can do to ensure an abundant supply of gorgeous peonies)

Emergencies:

I understand that I am working with a small business and that personal and health emergencies can occur. In the even that These Roots Peony Farm is dealing with a personal or health emergency they will do their best to fulfill orders, but I understand that there may be delays in when I will receive my order/subscription. Any delays will be communicated via email and/or social media (Facebook and Instagram).
